A typical Yeshiva student until attacked by Vicious Tiger one evening at his Yeshiva High School.
Luckily, Ari Gibor was there and saved Zaph from the deadly attack. After resolving the problems with Vicious Tiger, Ari Gibor took Zaph on as his student and imparts the secrets of his Super Martial Arts, Southern Lion Claw, to him.
With the guidance of his friend and master, Zaph is able to walk into a bigger world and is confronted with the challenges of a superhuman population.
At first, Zaph is uninterested in learning more martial arts than he will need to protect himself. After a trip to Israel, where one friend is killed and another gravely injured during a terrorist attack, Zaph realized he needed to master the skills of a super martial artist.
Currently, Zaph is taking classes and involved in the Super Schule (Toras Emes). He has heard rumors that a version of himself from another universe followed some kids back from a multi-dimensional war.
